I am wont to say, that it wasn't the undereducated that caused this but the educated and overeducated. It make's it look like being educated is a weakness.

Health care

Why is health care so expensive today?

In 1977 80% of all hospitals in the US were non-profit. Today 80 percent are private for profit.

The markup for your health care is 100 percent, too line the pockets of corporate hierarchy and shareholders.

Beliefs

Are like clothes. You put them on.....you can take them off. If you have no beliefs then you are naked. Some beliefs are universal, anyone can wear them. Some beliefs fit no one, and are not fit for anyone to wear.

Some beliefs are a lie and render the wearer naked.

Paths

If you are walking a path that you are determined to walk even though you are told that that path leads to a desert or some place stinky. Who can you blame but yourself when you find yourselves in a desert or a cesspoole?

"Changing History"

Who can change history? No one can. No-one has gone back and undone or erased what has been done.

There are some who think they can change history by saying that. Or how about this one? "Making history."

You can't make something that is already done. History is what has been done.

Prognosis: Just some stupid oxymoron cliche that keeps getting used by the media.

Sooooo There is an alternative to fetal stem cell research.

Embryonic stem cell research is not necessary when we have the ability to accomplish the same things right now.

Mother Teresa

What she accomplished is what civilization is about. She did so because of her faith and belief that there is God and that he really wanted her to do what she did. Barbarians would have just thrown those orphans off of a mountain or let them fend for themselves propagating themselves as animals in an only the strongest survive mentality.

Well what do you know.

Jesus says that the "meek shall inherit the Earth", not to be confused with the ones who act meek.

Olympics

Lindsey Von won gold in the women's down hill.

The asides are that she was the first American woman to ever win, and it was the Olympics, arguably the truest test of athletic greatness.

More importantly she for all practical purposes skied on one leg, on probably the toughest down hill in the world, and it in the toughest condition a downhill may have ever been..It was fast and mean.

I am thinking may be one of the greatest Olympic feats of all time.

As for the extreme difficulty of many of the courses of the Vancouver Olympics. This is the Olympics and they should be 'THE TOUGHEST' period. Maybe the rest of the time should pale in comparison.

One year to go.

Just a reminder of a prediction I made a few years ago. If I have the bible correct then the window opens after 2011.

In other words the calamities will not begin to occur before 2011 and, no later than 2063.

No worries for me.

When I was young one of the things that some people used to tell me was Haley's comet was a sign of the end of the world.

Kind of coincidentally ironic. Though I keep telling people this stuff is not the end of the world.
A nova or supernova would be the end of the world. Not happening in our time or the next time either. Anything is possible but I am saying no.

African Americans?

Did black people fight in the great civil rights movement of the 60's because black people wanted to retain their identity as blacks, or did they just want to lose their identity and be known as Americans-Sons of the Republic?

I think the original intent was to be known as Americans, don't You?

Innovation

A thought comes to me something like this.

Innovation makes tradition obsolete.

Does it? Or are people innovative within the boundaries of tradition?

It looks to me like the further we get away from tradition the less innovative we get.

It's is in the over-math now ain't it?

But now I offer proof. Yes, I was a captain of my highschool swimteam.

Unusually Cold?

I just read an article that said this was an unusually cold winter. I am thinking holy moley, the kids do not know what a real winter is like. This isn't unusually cold, this would be considered a mild winter only 20, 25 years ago, so I am thinkin that these kids today are in for a real whack in the reality gene when they see a real cold winter.

If you are getting bad results and you have repeated the exercise perfectly then what ever you are doing is messed-up.

Sound familiar. I believe we are seeing the effort to do this amongst our politicians today. I could list all to the things they are trying to do but in the nature of keeping this short I will let you people think of all the things yourselves.
